Good morning al and family thanks for the bonus video
Goooooood mernin’! What? A wednesday video? Huh, wha?!?
Good Morning Mr. & Mrs. Lumnah ( and Ms. Lumnah too! ).
Is this part of Mrs. Lumnah’s video editing training process?
Whichever, it’s nice seeing the timelapse.
I can hardly wait to see the wall boards up in the milking parlour and workshop as well as the the electrical getting setup out there.
Mayhap, next year you can get a rain catchment system in place on the barn so you don’t need to lug water down to them goats. I’m not sure with goats as my experience is with dairy cows, but Mr. Lumnah, I suspect that when Willow and the other does kid and begin lactating again next spring that their water intake will skyrocket in conjunction with their milk production. It sure did with our cows.
As I said, my dairy experience is with cows so I don’t know if Willow will need to be “dried off”, and is so, for how long. For most of my life Dad gave our cows a month dry period, however, towards the end of his time on earth, he stretched it to six weeks. Yes, it took some milk of the backend of the lactation, but the improvement in body condition on the cows after calving paid off because they were able to maintain high production longer and had a better breed back percentage. Mr. Lumnah, I am in no way implying that Willow has poor body condition. I’m just asking the question about a dry period for dairy goats out of curiosity.
Good morning , I will watch this this @ 2 times speed so that you will get it done even quicker LOL
